Florin Duta is the founder and CEO of MAI Strategies, based in New York. He is an experienced law enforcement veteran and expert in personal protection. Florin is also a US Army veteran, having served with the US Army Airborne Special Forces Support. A 22-year veteran of the New York City Police Department, Florin served admirably in some of the most challenging assignments within the agency – beginning his career patrolling the city’s East New York neighborhood. He was later promoted to sergeant and was charged with supervising a plainclothes team that patrolled the NYC subway system for violent criminals and sex offenders and was later assigned as a detective supervisor in the robbery squad. Most recently, Florin served as a supervisory investigator with the NYC Department of Investigation, handling some of the most complex and sensitive cases that threatened the public trust. In this assignment he received a discretionary promotion to Sergeant, Supervisor Detective Squad. During his career he protected countless high-profile executives, celebrities, and visiting foreign dignitaries. He is a former hostage negotiator, is trained in dignitary and executive protection, and is fluent in Romanian. He currently oversees all operations for MAI Strategies and personally handles each client inquiry.
